Reopening of applications for EU citizens

Applications for admission to the MSc in International Economics and Business Administration (IEBA) for the 2026–2027 academic year will reopen exclusively for applicants holding EU citizenship.

The application period will open on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 10:00 CEST and will close on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 12:00 CEST.

Please note: this reopening is reserved exclusively for EU citizens. Applications from non-EU citizens cannot be accepted during this application round.

Admission requirements

The IEBA MSc is open to students who have already obtained a first university degree corresponding to at least 180 ECTS credits (in the European system or equivalent), following at least three years of study at Bachelor of Science (BSc) level in Economics or in closely related fields, such as Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or Statistics, with a strong quantitative background.

Mandatory prerequisites include:

  • Mathematics and Statistics: 12 ECTS
  • Economics, Statistics and Econometrics: 48 ECTS
Students are also expected to have an intermediate level of knowledge in Business Administration in order to fully benefit from the courses offered at the University of Bamberg.

For applicants admitted through this reopening, the Bachelor’s degree must be obtained by September 30, 2026.

September 21, 2026 at 12:00 CEST

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

The IEBA Consortium

The IEBA MSc is an international triple-degree programme involving the following partner universities:

  • University of Verona (Italy, coordinator)
  • University of Bamberg (Germany)
  • Université de Bordeaux (France)
  • Universidade do Porto (Portugal)
The programme spans two years (120 ECTS) and is currently organised into two mobility tracks:

  • Business-oriented track: Verona → Porto → Bamberg
  • Economics-oriented track: Verona → Bordeaux → Bamberg
Students in both tracks begin the programme at the University of Verona during the first semester. They then move to the partner institutions according to their selected track for the second and third semesters.

During the fourth semester, students complete a Master’s thesis supervised by professors from two different universities within their track.
